Miami High - 2010 Hall of Fame - April 10, 2010

MHS 2010 Hall of Fame Invitation
Let's make this year's Hall of Fame event THE BEST EVER!!!!!
Dear Stingaree and Friend of Miami High,
The Miami High Hall of Fame Committee cordially invites you to attend the induction ceremony for its newest members on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at Miami Senior High School. The evening begins in the East Patio at 5:00PM with a social hour and buffet dinner followed by the formal induction ceremony in the school auditorium.
Our 2010 Hall of Fame class features the leading receiver in the NFL, a highly successful college and high school basketball coach of five state championship teams, the position coach for the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner, a pole vault world record holder, a three-time state basketball champion and a two-time Olympic gold medalist in diving and our first woman inductee.
Please come and cheer this year’s FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, DIVING, TENNIS and TRACK inductees who will join previous members in the storied Miami High Hall of Fame.

The inductees, listed alphabetically, are:
Tom Conard (Basketball) Class of 1956
Pete Desjardins (represented by son Paul)(Diving) Class of 1926
Andre Johnson (Football) Class of 1999
Sedrick Irvin (Football) Class of 1996
Marcos “Shakey” Rodriguez (Basketball) Class of 1971
Bunny Smith (Tennis) Class of 1964
Leo Suarez (Special honorary inductee) Class of 1975
John Uelses (Track) Class of 1956

In addition to our anticipation of what promises to be a memorable evening, we are excited about the changes occurring at Miami High. The long-awaited restoration of our revered and historic building has begun and you will notice changes when you visit Miami High on April 10. Soon after ground breaking ceremonies in November, construction work began on all sides of the school. The restoration will not interfere with our event in the East Patio.
